Jatayu

Arnav grew up in Pune a town close to Goa and was exposed to the rave culture at the young age of 12 .

Bunking school and attending parties in the day was a common affair. He enjoyed the culture, the music spectrum, all the dancing, the connection he felt and the art that these gatherings involved.

 

Straight after design school he started designing the stages and decor for these events in Goa and other cities in India.

Arnav has attended some of the most famous and underground parties and festivals that India has to offer. Completely immersed in the scene, he arrived in NZ and started searching for the local festival culture here as well.

In no time at all he was designing stages for festivals like Dimension festival, Aum festival, Earthbeat festival, Resolution festival, Luminate festival, RNV, NZ Spirit festival to name a few.

 

In addition, he's also travelled to Europe to stomp on the dancefloors of some of the globe's biggest PSY festivals like Ozora and Psy-fi.Arnav is the founder of Yatra festival and the co-founder of Omnishakti festival.

Representing the psytrance culture from Goa to NZ, he aims to spread the awareness of psychedelic music and culture with the goal of growing the community.

 

With a never ending love for psytrance and a very finely tuned ear, he succumbed to the deep desire to play music as a DJ. Jatayu has been playing at most of the psytrance festivals and parties for the last 3 years and has developed a unique style.

 

Jatayu's sets are a supersonic high energy journey that continues to pick up pace with melodies from around the world. Focused on liberation-through-dance and transformation-through-music, Jatayu's music sense is a combination of Night full on / Twilight, and into Hi-tech psytrance.
